The Director General of Kuwait Ports Authority Sheikh Yousef Abdullah Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Welcomed Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kuwait Mrs. Aisha Hilal Sayan Koytak, in a friendly visit to discuss ways of mutual cooperation between the two countries with regard to maritime transport and logistics services.
Al-Abdullah said that the Kuwait Ports Authority seeks to provide its best services through its Kuwaiti commercial ports, in conjunction with its endeavor to develop through its projects that fall under the 2035 Development Plan (New Kuwait), and that requires cooperation with leading and distinguished countries in the world of maritime navigation, including the friendly Republic of Turkey. Al-Abdullah reviewed the Kuwait Ports Authority’s future projects, welcoming the initiative and participation of specialized international companies with expertise in the development of Kuwaiti ports, including Turkish companies, calling on everyone to come forward when launching projects by submitting these important tenders through the Central Agency for Public Tenders, in accordance with the principles of transparency, equality and equal opportunities Between all the international companies specialized in building and constructing ports.
Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Kuwait, Mrs. Aisha Hilal Sayan Koytak, stated that the trade and economic relations between the two countries have increased in recent times, and with the increase in trade exchange, the export operations carried out by Turkish exporters are increasing and more Turkish products are sent to Kuwaiti ports. She added that the Turkish exporters are very satisfied with the level of work in Kuwaiti ports. Adding that Turkish exports to the State of Kuwait are increasing, especially Turkish foodstuffs, which arrive through the ports, and are cleared as quickly as possible with ease.
In this context, Her Excellency Ambassador Koytak, who received information about the current and future projects of the Kuwait Port Authority, stated that Turkish engineering companies and contracting companies are investing for the future of Kuwait and have contributed significantly to development projects in Kuwait.
Ambassador Koytak also expressed her desire to develop Turkish-Kuwaiti relations during the coming period in all economic and commercial fields.
