KPA Vision

The Kuwait Port Authority’s vision is to build a physically and procedurally advanced Ports system that will cater to the needs of Kuwait and its trading sphere. By initiating new projects in all sectors concerning Maritime trade (technology, maritime operations, civil work and more). The Kuwait Ports Authority’s main goal is that of H.H. The Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, to make Kuwait a Financial and Commercial Hub by the year 2035. We at the Ports Authority see that the development of Kuwait’s Ports would be the spearhead of achieving H.H. The Emir’s vision of making Kuwait a Financial and Commercial Hub. 

KPA History

Kuwait has been a Port City/Nation for over 350 years. The sea and trade have always been Kuwait’s lifeline to the world and especially throughout the region. This mentality has not stopped. Our Ports are still seen as Kuwait’s channel to success.

Never such in a time of sweeping change for Kuwait Ports Authority with our three ports (Shuwaikh, Shuaiba, and Doha) are handling more cargo combined than at any point in history. The dynamism of the Kuwait economy, driven by both regional and global factors, has brought a boom in traffic levels and the KPA along with its port-based partners has risen to the challenge. 

Progress

Our efficiency has improved notably across all trades with the number of cranes movements, ensuring that vessel calls are now swifter than ever. Here at KPA, we have embarked a dynamic new strategy designed to lift customers service onto altogether higher level, by utilizing the latest in smart port technology and management best practice. KPA team embarks in this exciting voyage of discovery. We truly outlining a course for new skylines.
